Georgian universities are authorised and their programmes accredited by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE). Whether your degree is recognised for practice or further study in your own country is decided by that country's regulator, so check it for the exact programme before you pay. For medicine, see our MBBS in Georgia guide.

Tbilisi has the most universities, the largest international community and the best hospitals. Batumi offers a Black Sea setting and a calmer pace, and Kutaisi has the lowest living costs. The best city depends on your programme, budget and how independent you want to be.
Not always. Georgian universities set their own English requirements for foreign applicants. Several accept an English-medium school certificate or an in-house English test and interview, while others ask for a B1 or B2 certificate such as IELTS. Check the requirement on each university's page.
